E.D UNRA FLAGS OFF 16 NEW WATER BOWSERS

The executive director Uganda National Road’s Authority (UNRA) Ms. Allen Kagina this week flagged off 16 water bowsers to various stations across the country.

Ms.Kagina dispatched off water bowsers that will provide each station with a capacity of 15,000 liters of water to reduce dust, an inbuilt water pump, a firefighting equipment, air inflation system in case of a tyre puncture and an inbuilt accommodation for the designated occupants where need arises.

Speaking to journalists, the E.D expressed optimism that the recently purchased modern machines will be able to deliver services for a long time and improve the efficiency of the institution.

“They are expensive but are of high capability and can provide us with good capacity. I think with this new equipment we can surely improve performance in our work,” she stated.

The team also paid a courtesy visit to Mpigi district headquarters where a tree planting exercise was held to affirm UNRA’s position in regards to the conservation of the environment.

“We are here to protect mother nature and ensure that we take care of it as it does to us” Ms.Monica Seruma the head environment and social safeguards remarked.

Ms.Kagina later inspected works on the Kibibi-Kyabadaza road under term maintenance.
